STATUS: This species is the counterpart in New Guinea and Australia of the similar Oriental and Sundanian P. ciacula Swinhoe, 1893. In New Guinea a rare species.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Abmisibil, Ampas, Base Camp (Utakwa River), Fakfak, Walmak. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea, Queensland.
