Endemic species
Distribution
STATUS: Endemic in the Jayawijaya and Snow Mountains. Recently discovered to be separate from the very similar Monosyntaxis bipunctata (Bethune-Baker, 1904) which is endemic in the Owen Stanley Range, PNG.
PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Abmisibil, Mt. Goliath (Gn. Yamin), Jiwika, Landikma, Mabilabol, Mokndoma, Pass Valley, Walmak. Details in gazetteer.
EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: none.
