STATUS: Endemic in the Foja Mountains. Recently discovered to be separate from the very similar Monosyntaxis bipunctata (Bethune-Baker, 1904) which is endemic in the Owen Stanley Range, PNG.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Bog Camp, Kwerba. Details in gazetteer.
