Distribution
STATUS: A common species which is widely distributed from the South Moluccas to northern Solomon Islands.
PAPUA LOCALITIES: Waigeo Island; Supiori Island: Korido, North Supiori; Biak Island: East Biak, Korem, Wardo; Japen Island: Waropen; Mioswar Island; Pulau Ratewi; Pulau Liki; New Guinea: Akimuga, Dabra, Fakfak, Jayapura, Karubaga, Kobakma, Kwerba, Manokwari, Marina Valen, Mokwam, Nabire, Senopi, Sentani, Taja Lereh, Timika, Tiom, Ubrub, Waena. EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Subspecies celestina occurs in Aru, New Guinea and northern Australia.
