Distribution
STATUS: A very common species, widely distributed. In Papua four subspecies are recognized, but there is only slightly difference with lots of intermediates. The subspecies status is therefore obscure. Subspecies euchenor is found on the mainland of New Guinea, ssp. eutropius on Yapen Island, ssp. comma is found on Biak and Supiori, and ssp. misolensis on Misool Island.
