Distribution

 

 

 

 

STATUS: A very common species, widely distributed on New Guinea. It seems to prefer mountainous areas. Hindwings with a larger hyaline center than in describens and indescribens. An extremely variable moth, some common variations are depicted here.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Abmisibil, Borme, Enarotali, Epouto, Fakfak, Hollandia, Keerom, Mt. Kunupi, Langda, Lelambo, Modio, Pass Valley, Senggo, Sentani, Upper Setekwa River, Sibil, Sinimburu, Taja Rifi, Timeepa, Walmak, Wambes, Wandammen Peninsula, Warkapi. Details in gazetteer.
