Distribution
STATUS: This species is widely distributed in Indo-Australia. It is a sibling species with Ericeia subcinerea, both are very hard to distinguish from each other without genital study. It seems that elongata usually has a dark postmedian band and that subcinerea usually is rather plain patterned but variations in pattern occur and make identification difficult. More research is needed to clearify the distribution of both species in New Guinea.
PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Walmak, Wandammen Mts. Details in gazetteer.
EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Indo-Australian region from Hong Kong to Papua New Guinea and Queensland (Australia).
