Pachycerosia bipuncta f. simplex Gaede, 1925 syn. nov.
Distribution
STATUS: A common species from lowlands with a peculiar distribution pattern. The type locality is Karkar Island, East of PNG. Furthermore it is known from the eastern mainland of New Guinea and, with a wide gap, in the westernmost part in Papua, Indonesia.
PAPUA LOCALITIES: Waigeo Island: Camp Nok; Batanta Island; New Guinea: Huri-Mber, Utakwa River, Warkapi, Warmare Dua, Werba, Yuwong. Details in gazetteer.
EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea, Karkar Island.
