Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: A rather rare and local species. Two distinct subspecies are known, with ssp. insularis in the East of Papua New Guinea. Rothschild (1912) described three "species" from the same locality (Utakwa River) which in fact are considered conspecific and therefore synonym.
