Distribution
STATUS: A common and very widely distributed species with some local subspecies. Day flying and found nocturnal.
PAPUA LOCALITIES: Misool Island; Waigeo Island; Japen Island: Ansus; New Guinea: Fakfak, Mt. Goliath, Setekwa River, Walmak. Details in gazetteer.
EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Sumatra (ssp. tenuis); Sulawesi (ssp. flavicollis); Seram (ssp. calida); Papua New Guinea (ssp. milnensis).
