Similar species

The four known Chrysoscota species occuring in Papua Indonesia are rather easy to distinguish. To make it more easy the right wings of all four species are depicted to compare. Notice the black thorax of albomaculata, while in the other species the head and collar are pale yellow.


Distribution

 

 

STATUS: Distributed in New Guinea. In PNG more localities are known

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Borme, Hotice (Foja Mts.), Huri-Mber, Mabilabol, Utakwa River. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
