STATUS: An endemic species in Papua with three subspecies.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: ssp. phippsi: Ekemanida, Modio, Timeepa; ssp. wisseli: Araboe River, Bilai, Bilogai, Homeyo, Tuguwai; ssp. mulia: Ilu, Mulia, Sinak. Details in gazetteer.
