Variation
The species is extremely variable as shown below.
Distribution
STATUS: Widely distributed and a very common species. It is extremely variable in wing pattern. Characteristic is the semihyaline central part on the hindwing which resembles those of the Stictopterinae (Euteliidae).

Kunupi, Lelambo, Mokwam, Ninay Valley, Nomnagihé, Pass Valley, Prafi, Rasiei, Senopi, Sentani, Upper Setekwa River, Tuan Wowi, Uskwar, Utakwa River, Walmak, Warkapi, waterfall (Cyclops Mts), Werba. EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Indo-Australia, including Papua New Guinea and further to Fiji.
