STATUS: Widely distributed, a rare species in Papua. In New Guinea represented by ssp. jobina.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Japen Island; Biak Island; Numfor Island; New Guinea: Jayapura. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Indo-Australian Region.
