STATUS: Widely distributed in New Guinea, but rather rare. In Papua the species is represented by ssp. chionosticta.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Araboebivak, Mt. Goliath, Mt. Kunupi, Molbakon, Mokwam, Pass Valley. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
