Distribution

 

 

 

 

STATUS: Widely distributed in New Guinea, a common species. With the narrow forewings it resembles Gyrtona species but characteristic is the hyaline center of the hindwing. The species is very variable in colour.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Waigeo Island: Camp Nok; New Guinea: Arfak Mts., Foja Mts., Mt. Goliath, Hollandia, Upper Setekwa River, Warmare Dua. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
