Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: A true mountain species, locally rather common. The species is variable in colour and pattern of the owlet markings, which may be present or absent.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Abmisibil, Affi, Demaisi, Mt. Kunupi, Langda, Mabilabol, Mokwam, Ninay Valley, Utakwa River, Walmak. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
