[Spilosoma vulgaris De Vos & Suhartawan, 2011] (holotype (TL: Anggi Lakes, Arfak Mts.) BMNH)
Distribution
STATUS: Odd enough this common species mainly from the Central Highlands has been overlooked by previous entomologists. It is closely related to Spilosoma kebea and S. rubribasis but different wing pattern and genitalia confirm the species status of this taxon. Particularly in the Jayawijaya Mountains it is the dominant Spilosoma species.
