Distribution

 

 

 

STATUS: A rather rare species. Widely distributed over New Guinea. Seems to prefer mountainous areas. Calamidia castanea is recently synonymized with Semicalamidia owgarra.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Mt. Goliath (Gn. Yamin), Lake Habbema, Mokwam, Pass Valley, Walmak, Wasior (Wandammen). Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
