Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: Recently discovered on Yapen Island. It is probably not rare, three localities are known on this island. It is however not yet clear if Rothschild was correct by placing this species in Arctiinae (Erebidae), because its external characters indicate that it may belong to Acontiinae (Noctuidae). Further research (i.e. by genitalia study) is needed to confirm this.
