STATUS: A rare species, so far only known from the area around Utakwa River. The second depicted specimen was in the Natural History Museum (London) arranged under the species name wollastoni but it looks in fact very different. Further research must reveal if it is another species or not. For a long time placed in the genus Tampea Snellen, 1897, but this species is not allied to its type species lithosioides. For the time being it is now placed in Macaduma to which it seems to have more in common with.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Canoe Camp (Utakwa River), Utakwa River. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: none.
