Distribution
STATUS: Widely distributed on New Guinea, mainly found in lowland areas and a common species. Dark forms occur.
PAPUA LOCALITIES: Misool Island; Waigeo Island: Camp Nok; New Guinea: Base G (Jayapura), Gn. Bembab (Arfak Mts), Benyas, Besum, Borme, Dorey (Manokwari), Furu Camp (Foja Mts), Humboldt Bay, Kapaur (Fakfak), Kouh, Mt. Kunupi (Kobowre Mts), Kwerba, Landikma, Lelambo, Manirim, Marina Valen, Maripi, Nabire, Sabron Camp (Cyclops Mts), Sentani, Sorong, Taja Rifi, Ubrub. Details in gazetteer.
