Distribution

 

 

 

 

STATUS: A common species, widely distributed on New Guinea. A lowland species. Recently placed in Plutellidae in the genus Zarcinia but this must be an error. It is undoubtless a Lactura species.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Roon Island: Yende; New Guinea: Ampas, Base Camp (1st SNG Exp.), Gn. Bembab, Dotir River, Fakfak, Hollandia (Jayapura), Gn. Lina (Cyclops), Manokwari, Meervlakte, Gn. Meja Reserve, Ninay Valley, Pioniersbivak, Rasiei, Sabron Camp (Cyclops), Sorong, Uskwar, Utakwa River, Warkapi, Wembi. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
