STATUS: A small species, widely distributed and rather common. Lactura bisecta Diakonoff, 1955 is conspecific with rubriflora.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Lake Giti (Anggi Lakes), Mt. Goliath, Pass Valley, Rattan Camp (Archbold Exp.), Walmak. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
