STATUS: Restricted to New Guinea. The ground colour of this species is grey, while in the similar macrospila it is brown-yellow. The typical longitudinal line can be present or absent.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Manokwari, Nabire, Sibil, Wamena, Wandammen Peninsula. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
