Distribution

 

 

 

 

STATUS: The species is not rare. An important character is the strong zigzag transverse line on the forewing and the dark margin on the hindwing which distinguish it from a very similar undescribed species (from Mt. Goliath [Gn. Yamin]) with has this line more straight with faint dentation and white hindwings. In the BMNH collection such specimens have a manuscript name given by Warren.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Demaisi, Mt. Goliath, Lelambo, Mokwam, Pass Valley, Sibil, Utakwa River, Yemang, Walmak. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: none but expected to occur in PNG too.
