Chora sanguinea Bethune-Baker, 1906
Distribution
STATUS: Widely distributed in New Guinea with a preference for mountainous areas, in lowland areas less common. The species is quite variable. It is probably conspecific with Chora approximata Warren, 1916 and allied taxa like neglecta Warren, 1916 and obliqua Bethune-Baker, 1906 but this must still be confirmed.
PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Abmisibil, Ampas, Bog Camp (Foja Mts.), Borme, Katan (Mappi), Keerom, Kouh, Lelambo, Mabilabol, Modio, Ninay Valley, Timeepa, Pass Valley, Senggo, Sota (Merauke), Utakwa River, Walmak. Details in gazetteer.
