Distribution
STATUS: Widely distributed on New Guinea and a common species which is extremely variable. The holotype (see above) shows the dark form which is in fact very rare, usually the forewings are white patterned.
PAPUA LOCALITIES: Waigeo Island: Camp Nok; Roon Island: Yende; New Guinea: Borme, Demaisi, Fakfak, Mt. Goliath, Ifar, Lelambo, Ninay Valley, Sabron Camp (Cyclops), Sentani, Upper Setekwa River, Sibil, Utakwa River, Walmak. Details in gazetteer.
