STATUS: In Indonesian New Guinea represented by three subspecies. All very rare.Subspecies milesius is only mentioned from Southwestern West Papua, probably Fakfak.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: ssp. milesius: Southwestern West Papua; ssp. theonides: Roon Island; ssp. theophanes: Humboldt Bay. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Aru Islands, Papua New Guinea.
