STATUS: Extremely rare. Represented with two subspecies in West New Guinea.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: ssp. subcoeruleum: Waigeo Island; ssp. coruscans: New Guinea: Kapaur (Fakfak), Sorong. Details in gazetteer.
