STATUS: In Papua, Indonesia, represented by two subspecies. Both are very rare. The nominal race occurs in Papua New Guinea.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: ssp. mesites: New Guinea: Mt. Kunupi; ssp. jactantis: New Guinea: Mt. Goliath, Jiwika, Mabilabol. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
