ssp. antharita Grose-Smith, 1894
ssp. hyacinthus Röber, 1931
Distribution
STATUS: A very rare species. There seem to occur two subspecies in Papua, ssp. antharita and ssp. hyacinthus. Ssp. hyacinthus is described from the Snow Mountains which should include Utakwa River, but from this locality ssp. antharita was recorded. Since no comparing pictures are available no subspecific dots are shown on the map.
PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Aindua River, Humboldt Bay, Jayapura, Utakwa River. Details in gazetteer.
EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
