STATUS: A common species, widely distributed in New Guinea. The species is in the Indonesian part of New Guinea represented by ssp. approximata.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Mt. Goliath, Mt. Kunupi, Upper Setekwa River, Utakwa River, Wandammen Mts. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
