Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: Restricted to New Guinea with at least two subspecies. The specimens known from Indonesian New Guinea have extended red pattern which might be considered as belonging to another subspecies. The species seems rare.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Yapen Island; New Guinea: Mamberamo River. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
