Distribution
STATUS: Widely distributed in West New Guinea. It is represented by two subspecies. Subspecies munda, with an orange mark in the white band on the hindwing, is distributed in the northern part of the Birdshead Peninsula, subspecies aflava, which has a totally white band, occurs more south in Onin Peninsula and centre of Papua.
PAPUA LOCALITIES: ssp. munda: New Guinea: Amberbaki, Andai, Mt. Siwi; ssp. aflava: Base Camp (Utakwa River), Etna Bay, Kapaur (Fakfak), Nomnagihé, Upper Setekwa River, Utakwa River, Wangaar. Details in gazetteer.
