STATUS: A rather common species, but because of its small size not often recorded. Its position in Stenoscaptia is not confirmed but is for the time being followed here.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Supiori Island: Nansfori; New Guinea: Borme, Lelambo, Tuan Wowi, Warkapi. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
