Distribution
STATUS: A common species. Widely distributed, at daytime active. The obscure Caprimima fuliginosa Rothschild, 1912 most likely belongs to this species and is a dark variation.
PAPUA LOCALITIES: Waigeo Island; Misool Island; Numfor Island; Biak Island; Moor Island; Sekar Island; New Guinea: Aramsolki, Borme, Canoe Camp (Utakwa River), Cyclops Camp, Dorey (Manokwari), Humboldt Bay, Kapaur (Fakfak), Mt. Goliath, Kokonao, Mt. Kunupi, Sabron Camp (Cyclops), Setekwa River, Sorong, Utakwa River. Details in gazetteer.
EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Aru Islands, Papua New Guinea, Bismarck Archipelago, Queensland (Australia).
