Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: Widely distributed on New Guinea and variable in pattern in extension of the black margins. The sexual dimorphism caused for long time confusion and kept males and females separated as different species.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Supiori Island: Nansfori; Japen Island; Waropen; New Guinea: Aitape (Cyclops), Batavia Bivak, Bernhard Camp, Borme, Depapre, Dojo, Dotir, Enarotali, Etna Bay, Haya (Dabra), Hollandia, Humboldt Bay, Kwerba, Landikma, Lelambo, Rasiei, Sabron Camp (Cyclops), Samabusa, Sentani, Upper Setekwa River, Turai River, Waena, Wai Sai River, Walmak, Waris, Wataikwa River, Yongsu, Yuwong (Keerom).
