Distribution
STATUS: A common and widely distributed species. It has a strong sexual dimorphism. The identity of the New Guinea specimens is still unclear and can either belong to pannicula or *crinipes or even to a new species (Holloway, 2005). Until a clarification has been published on these taxa both are considered here as conspecific.
PAPUA LOCALITIES: Roon Island: Yende; New Guinea: Base Camp (Utakwa River), Canoe Camp (Utakwa River), Fyria River (Buruway), Jembatan Dua (Cyclops), Kapaur (Fakfak), Nomnagihé, Rasiei, Tanah Merah, Tuan Wowi (Prafi), Upper Setekwa River. Details in gazetteer.
