STATUS: A common species. Widely distributed through the Old World: Europe, Africa and Indo-Australia.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Supiori Island: Korido; Biak; New Guinea: Abmisibil, Ampas, Bilogai, Jayapura, Kaimana, Kota Nica, Oost Tami, Pass Valley, Sentani, Sorong, Timeepa, Tuguwai, Walmak, Wambes, Yuruf. Details in gazetteer.
