Aiteta iridias (Meyrick, 1889)






STATUS: Distributed from New Guinea to North Australia. Probably wide spread in New Guinea but until now in Papua only known from three localities. The larvae feed on Sovereignwood (Terminalia sericocarpa, Combretaceae).

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Biak Island: Biak City, Japanese Cave; New Guinea: Abepura, Demaisi, Ninay Valley, Wandammen Peninsula. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea, Northern Territory, Queensland (Australia).
