Lophoptera illucida Walker, 1865







STATUS: Widely distributed in the Indo-Australian region. Holloway (1985) mentioned that the New Guinea species similar to illucida is undescribed. For the time being this species is treated as illucida until it is proved to belong to a new species.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Mt. Goliath, Mokwam, Ninay Valley, Pass Valley, Walmak. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Oriental tropics to Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo, Papua New Guinea.
