synonyms:
Pericallia dulla aurantiaca Rothschild, 1910 (holotype: Kapaur (Fakfak), in BMNH)
Pericallia dulla borealis Rothschild, 1910 (syntypes: Dorey (Manokwari), in BMNH)
Amsacta dulla orientalis Rothschild, 1914
Creatonotus (sic) affinis Rothschild, 1935 (syntype: Humboldt Bay, in BMNH)
Taxonomical note
The definition of subspecies of this species are merely based on geographical locations rather than on significant differences in the wingpattern of the few known specimens. The species seems rather variable in the extension of the orange in the forewing fascia and hindwing margin, which is in this case not at all significant. I therefore conclude that the division of this species into subspecies is not justified.
