The Goat Moths (Lepidoptera: Cossidae) of Papua Indonesia

by Rob de Vos

Zeuzera indica Herrich-Schäffer, [1854]

paucipunctata Walker, 1856
viridimacula Matsumura, 1931

STATUS: One of the largest Zeuzera species in Papua. It is widely distributed and probably restricted to lowland areas. Yakovlev (2011b) places this species in the genus Zeurrora Yakovlev, 2011. For the time being this is not followed here, because some other specialists have comments on his splitting the genus Zeuzera into 7 (new) genera, until more clearity has been presented.
