STATUS: A rather common species with a very wide distribution. The species shows strong sexual dimorphism.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Waigeo Island: Camp Nok; New Guinea: Ampas, Depapre, Sabron Camp (Cyclops), Walmak. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Indo-Australian region from Sri Lanka to Papua New Guinea.
