STATUS: In Papua locally common but not generally. Yakovlev (2011b) considers biakensis Roepke, 1957 to be a subspecies of personus, this is not followed here because the differences are minimal and based on a few specimens.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Batanta Island; Biak Island: Biak; New Guinea: Abepura, Ampas, Bernhard Camp, Besum, Depapre, Entrop, Ifar, Jayapura, Kouh, Mabilabol, Senggo, Tekai (Keerom District), Ubrub, Uskwar, Wambes, Yongsu, Yuruf. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: India, Indo-Australia, Moluccas, Papua New Guinea.
